I said I wasn't going to respond on this site, not because I don't want to answer good and fair questions, but it can be like a merry-go-round that you can't get off of.
As you know, I became the club president late June and returned home mid July. The new board will have it's first meeting in the next 10 days. We have been waiting for the old board to publish their last newsletter and for Cheri (first VP) to update the club roster while installing a new computer.
Again, I will try and answer some questions without riding the merry-go-round.
As far as I know, and I feel 99.9% we have NEVER payed for a party following any tournament. We were also given a free room for trading at the 4 Queens every time. To my knowledge the only party the club pays for is the one on Friday night during the Convention which is for all members.
I wasn't asking members to post to our web site but to send questions to board members. E-mail address's can be found on the web site. Also please don't expect instant replies.
I saw a very detailed break down of expenses sent from our treasurer to the past president and other board members after some questions were raised regarding details.
I too am sorry if you (808) were not given the requested information, as a member you deserved it.
I believe about $5000 will be added to our income from the convention.
Please don't put me on the merry-go-round. I plan to file our board meeting minutes on our web site or in the newsletter after every meeting starting very soon.
