Dave & Walt, I have to agree with both of you. Let's go back about 3-4 years ago, when the convention was held at the Riviera and at the club forum my wife and I sat in the back with Dennis Finn. This same question was raised by me along with Dennis about the clubs money being used for the Entertainment/Party after the tournament when it was held at the Las Vegas Club and then the Four Queens. My question that I raised was that this money that was being used for these parties was the club/members money and this did not benefit ALL of the members of our club, only the ones who attended the tournament. I stated that if the Tournament was being held by the Casino and opened to the public and was not a club function, then any party that was held after the tournament, should be paid for by the Casino who held the tournament and not the Silver Strikers Club!! These Casino's who hold the Tournaments are benefiting financially by our Club Members and in turn, it would be nice if they gave us the room for our trade session and the party at no expense to our club! This is my 2 cents as a paying member only!
