This is a true story. Whether you believe it or not I don't really care but anyone who has seen my partner Walter Mendenhall play the souvenir coin machines will certainly believe it.
About a month ago Walt was playing the Four Queens souvenir coin machine and hit three red 7's on the top line which would have been 500 credits. He played only one coin. Yesterday I went to the El Cortez and played for twenty coins and when I got back Walt bragged to me how he hit the three red 7's on the middle line and had played only one coin for his 200 credits. He then turned the machine over to me and I played for about 2 hours and started running bad so I asked Walt if he wanted to play. He said "Sure." and began playing, hitting the one coin button about every third spin. About 5 minutes into his play I watched as 7- 7 -7 came up on the bottom line for $1000 but Walt had played only one coin.
The amazing thing is that I don't think this will ever happen again, someone hitting 7- 7- 7 on all three paylines on the same machine with only one coin played.
