The Treasure Island made 500 $40 strikes; in 1994 they reportedly destroyed 450 because there was not enough play on the $1 strike machine. That leaves 50 $40 strikes in existence. The die for the strike was destroyed in 1997, so there will never be another one like it. The strike has been sold for $1200 to 3500 to strike collectors.
