My grandson Caleb & I really enjoyed the Palms 1st silver strike tournament.We thought it was very well organized and the room it was held in was large enough that you had room to roam around and could see everything going on.Craig & all the other Palms helpers were just GREAT!!The only bad thing was that they ran out of strikes in the silver strike machines for about 2 or 3 hours but they did all they could (put old ones they had in capsules which was time consuming)& got them going again.I spoke to a lady(Deanna) who was the slot shift manager & she said they had learned a few things they could improve on since this was their 1st silverstrike tournament & one was they were going to have to order more strikes when they had the next tournament.She said they really enjoyed hosting the tournament and that the people working at the Palms was having as much fun as us strikers.She complimented to me that they hadn't been griped at or anything said bad to any of them at any time.She thought we were a good bunch of fun loveing people.That made me feel good.I told her we really enjoyed the tournament and all the people who were helping run it.The tournament strike was really nice and looks great in my collection now.I hope that Craig & the Palms has another one next summer during the convention week and that they can set up the dates & time a long time in advance, so people still working can get the dates marked on their work calender as time they need to be off & for all us strikers to be able to get our plane & hotel reservations early and hopefully cheaper.I liked the 10 minute(3 session format)better,but that is just my opinion.I'd like to hear from other striker's about their thoughts on this and what they thought & liked about the tournament.Take time & send a letter, e-mail or phone the Palms thanking them for a enjoyable and fun filled 2 or 3 days.What better way to meet old friends & make new ones!!
