Re: Palms Silver Strike Machines

It’s taken me a bit to recall how all that worked out. It’s been about two or three years back and I have trouble remembering what happened last week. We were at the Palms machine by the players’ club booth. Ann was playing and as we can recall we had put a $100 in, had two strikes for the first $20 of credit, had two or three for the next $20 of credit and at about $60 or $70 in we were about even and then the machine started paying credits. It slowed down spitting out strikes but we were way ahead on credits so kept on playing. She had hit two 7double double and one 77double plus a number of other things. At one point we had $100 cash in, 12 or 13 strikes out and over 900 credits on the machine. We talked a lot about stopping now or play on. We wanted to get 20 strikes so she played on, the machine really slowed down on putting out strikes but it was still giving good credits. When we were at 18 strikes (I think 18) we could have walked away with those 18 plus about $150 cash but as I said we wanted at least 20 strikes, so she played on. We reached a point where the credits had slowed down and the strikes had really slowed down. After going through $50 worth of credits and no strikes we quit. We had 22 or 23 strikes and cashed out $80 and that is how we got over 20 strikes for $20.

Now I’m not sure if this is the time Jeff is talking about or not, the results are the same but it wasn’t just a single $20 put in. You’ll note that I never mentioned anything about the times I’ve put in $100 and got nothing. I’m not big on telling sad stories, especially when they are about me.
