Like the birth of a new baby, a lot of planning and gathering of information goes into something like this, however naming our little fellow was a piece of cake.

This project is something the Silver Striker Officers have wanted to do for over three years. It was discovered very quickly that the need of a Webmaster was the key to make this a success. First and most importantly, this individual had to be a volunteer and would have to build this site from scratch and be willing to maintain it for the chapter. With several ideas for the site, and with our hobby changing as quickly as it does, no one thought this would not be an easy task for anyone. It wasn’t until a recent conversation with Pam Martin that we found our Webmaster, now all that had to be done was to get him to volunteer. He was cornered at the Florida Silver Strikers trade session and right away he was on board with the idea. Initially, he was thinking it would be for a Florida website only, then he was told “No! No! Think bigger” this is for the Silver Strikers Chapter. We want a national website, the biggest and the best. Please know that at that moment Jim Moser, our new Webmaster came alive. Not only did he commit to doing the project, but ideas starting flowing like crazy. Jim expressed so much excitement it was hard to imagine. The planning steps were laid out and task at hand began.

Several casinos will provide information letting you, the collector, hear and see it first when a new silver strike is to be released. The key to working with these casinos directly is to ensure that correct information is provided to you as it becomes available. This process has just started and is going to take time, and your patience is necessary.

CONVENTION

This will let you know of the activities planned for the Silver Strikers Chapter during the CC>CC convention. A list of 13 known Silver Strike Dealers at the convention this year have been included for your convenience.

CHAPTER AUCTION

The Chapters annual auction is held at the convention on Thursday. This section will allow you to review the items, bid until June 11, and see what they sold for after the sale.
