Who are these "dealers" we're supposed to avoid? What is the difference between a dealer and the major collectors who sit at machines for hours and re-sell their strikes on Ebay and Jackpot?
When the chase strikes first came out, I posted that it would only be a matter of time until the common strikes were just a nusiance getting in the way of collecting the "prizes". Just like sport cards. For that I caught major flak. That's one of the reasons I don't post often. The other is the hypocrosy of those who want you to boycott this or that casino, while they ( and I've witnessed some of these people at the Reno Airport ) tell the slot attendant to keep putting in the "blues" and they'll keep emptying the hopper.
I live in Lake Tahoe and I don't empty hoppers to get the 4 in 1 from Caesaer's. I still don't have the lastest one. I play to complete the set and if I get a chaser that's great, if not the world hasn't ended. I'll try to trade for one later. If everyone would stop the frenzy, maybe the greed aspect of this hobby would be less apparent.
Yes, I've been collecting since Harvey's came out with the strikes in 1992.
