Great news for Tucson area casino collectors.

Hi everyone. I've posted announcements about this on the bullet boards, sent letters, and made phone calls and my efforts have paid off. Although it's taken me a while to accomplish it, the possibility of having a silver strike, casino chip, and/or gaming token trading session for Tucson area collectors is now a reality. Hooray! I know this first gathering is in all probability going to be very unorganized but with luck, the help of those participating, and a lot of patience grin, maybe everyone will have such a good time that they'll want to continue to meet. And if that does happen, future meetings could be scheduled for the first Tuesday of every other month or so.

If you don't have anything to trade well, that's okay too. We'd still like for you to attend. Perhaps you may have questions about something in your collection. Well many of the people that will be attending have been collecting for years and they'll be very happy to help you. Bring whatever you need information about with you.

One more thing. It's not necessary for you to be a current member of the ccgtcc or the Silver Strikers Chapter to attend. But if you are, hey, that's great! This get-together is just that. A meeting comprised of people who are interested in and enjoy the collecting of casino related items.

I have a total of seventeen Tucson area collectors listed in my data base but so far only seven of those people have contacted me to let me know that they're interested and will be attending. Therefore, even though the group is small right now I'm hoping that more people will respond in the next several days. I'm sure there have to be other Tucson collectors out there somewhere and maybe, just maybe, this post will give them the inclination to contact me with regard to attending this upcoming session.

Here's the date, time, and location for the meeting.

7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2003
The Craycroft Tower Apartments
Recreation Center
1635 N. Craycroft Road
Tucson, AZ 85712

Please email me if you'd like to join us. But, if you are planning to attend you do need to contact me by May 2 so I can complete the arrangements for the set up of tables and chairs.

Thanks for reading this post and I hope I'll be hearing from some more Tucson area collectors.
