In many cases a "real" name means nothing.
Just because a person uses an alias does not mean he is not known. For instance, if a poster signed his "name" using his eBay or Jackpot user name, I find that much more valuable. We know who that is, while using his "real" name would just cloud the issue.
A good example is "RICHARD". We know who that is, but if he used small letters as in "Richard", or added his last name, many would not know who that is.
If one thinks about it, no matter which name one uses, in most cases we still might not know who he is...how many of the posters have actually met each other? (actually a lot)
Now, if everyone was forced to use their real names, that would be ok too. What difference does it make? But, also, if everyone continued on as in the past, what difference does it make?
None...so lets just leave people alone and just mind our own business. If someone needs to know a real name, they can ask, and usually they'll get an answer.
To get people to do otherwise, is just bordering on "picky picky".
Of course, there are some out there that should use their real names...those that have established themselves in business, hold office, etc.
