Richard- Why are some of our fellow collectors so petty? Several have told me over the years that you drive up prices unreasonably. This same theme has shown up on the message board. They have even shown examples of your bidding. It seems obvious to me that the exact opposite is true. Often times you bid on things that you ultimately do not win. You bid what something is worth to you. Isn't that the whole point of auctions? Whoever wants whatever it is the most, bids highest and wins. Every auction is different. It isn't personal.

Another thing, while I have no problem with Christie or anyone buying over winning strikes, personally I don't understand it. Playing the machines is the best part of the hobby.

Question-Who is "Tom"? Nobody that I have talked to seems to know. He sure has a lot of spare time.
