How did the war on Iraq become about 9/11?

Since there has been no link between 9/11 and Iraq (the administration went to great lengths after 9/11 to establish that point) even now the adminstration has not been able put together any credible claim of connection.

If someone shows me that Iraq was involved in 9/11 I will certainly change my position on the war.
