The only time you would not be able to cash them in is when the casino post a notice that no more "Gaming Tokens" will be redeemed after a given date--they are required by the Nevada Gaming Commission to post/give a notice/date when the tokens will no longer be redeemed--I think it's at least a 90 day notice but may be 120 days.
In the past when a casino closed prior to being able to stay open for the 90/120 notice period another casino was selected by the NV Gaming Commission to accept the tokens. This happened when the Westward-Ho closed and the Riviera was required to redeem any Westward-Ho strike for the 90/120 day notice period.
